Three teenage boys aged 15 and 16 have been remanded in custody in Denmark after being charged with attempted terrorism for allegedly planning a knife and bomb attack on Hadsten School in eastern Jutland. The suspects were arrested early Monday in coordinated raids by East Jutland Police, the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET), and Copenhagen Police, with two detained in East Jutland and one in Copenhagen.
Prosecutors allege the boys planned the attack via Discord and Telegram in the lead-up to August 3, 2026, intending to kill and wound multiple people at the school, which had 577 pupils last academic year. A judge at Randers Court ordered the remand hearing held behind closed doors and remanded all three until August 31. All suspects deny the charges.
The three are linked to the online community NVE, and Favrskov Municipality has activated its emergency response plan, arranging public information meetings. PET declined to comment.
