Linda Nosková and Marta Kostyuk reached the Wimbledon semi-finals for the first time with straight-set victories in their quarter-final matches on Tuesday.
Nosková defeated Elise Mertens 6-3, 7-5 to advance, having earlier seen off Madison Keys 6-4, 7-6(2) in the fourth round. Mertens had reached the last eight by beating Marie Bouzkova 6-4, 6-4. Kostyuk overcame Jasmine Paolini 6-3, 6-2 after earlier securing her quarter-final spot against Ashlyn Krueger. Kostyuk arrived at Wimbledon having won titles in Rouen and Madrid this year.
The other semi-final will feature Karolína Muchová against Coco Gauff. The winner of that match will face either Nosková or Kostyuk in a spot in the final.
