Alexander Zverev reached the Wimbledon quarter-finals for the first time on Monday, defeating Jiri Lehecka 6-4, 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (8-6) in a contest that spanned two days after a curfew suspension at 23:00 local time on Sunday with Zverev holding a two-set lead.

The German completed the victory in three hours and 22 minutes, prevailing in a tight fourth-set tiebreak to set up a quarter-final meeting with Taylor Fritz.

In other fourth-round action, Jannik Sinner defeated Jan-Lennard Struff 7-5, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3, while Arthur Fery edged past Grigor Dimitrov in five sets, winning 7-5, 3-6, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (10-7) to also advance to the last eight.
