Mohamed Salah has agreed to a two-year contract with Trabzonspor worth approximately 17 million euros annually, following his departure from Liverpool at the end of last season.

The Egyptian forward is expected to arrive in Istanbul on Wednesday for a medical examination before travelling to Trabzon to finalise the move, according to club chairman Ertugrul Dogan. Salah had previously been close to joining Besiktas, but negotiations collapsed over financial demands and image rights.

Salah leaves Liverpool as the club's third-highest scorer with 257 goals in 442 appearances, having won two Premier League titles, the Champions League and multiple individual honours. Trabzonspor finished third in the Super Lig last season and will compete in the Europa League playoff round.
