Manchester United drew 1-1 with Paris Saint-Germain in a pre-season friendly at Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg on Friday, though the result was overshadowed by a foot injury to Mason Mount inside the opening 20 minutes.
PSG took an early lead when Ibrahim Mbaye scored in the second minute, but Bryan Mbeumo equalised in the 32nd minute to level the contest. Youri Tielemans made his debut for United, while Tom Heaton was withdrawn at half-time with a right hamstring problem and replaced by Dermot Mee. Mount later appeared to allay fears of a serious injury after limping off.
Michael Carrick said he saw positive signs from the performance. United face Leeds United in Dublin on Wednesday before their Premier League campaign begins away to Hull on 22 August.
