Man charged over fatal hit-and-run that killed Irish woman in Belfast

A 22-year-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a collision in north Belfast that killed a 24-year-old woman from County Tipperary. The suspect also faces charges of causing grievous bodily harm by dangerous driving and additional motoring offences.

The crash took place in the York Street area at roughly 2:40 a.m. on Wednesday, striking Raven Adams and a second man who was hospitalised with serious injuries. The driver left the scene before being apprehended in the Cavehill district.

He is scheduled to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court later Thursday.
