Kyle Patrick, 23, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury after a high-speed crash in Perthshire, Scotland. The High Court in Glasgow also banned him from driving for 10 years.
The collision occurred on 1 September 2024 when Patrick, impaired by alcohol, drove at 119 mph in a 60 mph zone. Erin Slane, 19, died at the scene from blunt-force head injuries. A second passenger, Keira Jones, was seriously injured in the crash.
The sentencing concluded proceedings at the High Court in Glasgow, delivering a custodial term and an extended driving prohibition for the offences.
