The German Football Association will reintroduce standing-room tickets at international matches for the first time in more than 25 years, following approval by the DFB's supervisory board and shareholders' assembly. The move covers men's, women's, and under-21 national team fixtures.
Standing tickets will be available at Jürgen Klopp's home debut as head coach, a Nations League match against Greece in Augsburg on Sept. 27, and again against Serbia in Munich on Oct. 1. Klopp's first match in charge comes three days earlier, away to the Netherlands in Amsterdam. Public ticket sales begin Aug. 18, with standing tickets priced at 18 euros, or 15 euros for national fan club members.
The decision follows UEFA's decision to extend its standing-room observation programme for the 2026/27 season, expanding it to additional competitions. UEFA had lifted its blanket ban on standing at international matches — in place since 1998 — before the 2022/23 season.
