Efficient fuel prices in Portugal have fallen sharply for the week of August 10–16, dropping to €1.912 per litre for simple 95 gasoline and €2.021 for diesel, including taxes. The decline represents a 4.0% drop for gasoline and 4.7% for diesel compared with the previous week, driven by an 11.1% and 10.2% fall in international benchmark quotations respectively.
Before taxes, the efficient price stands at €0.933 per litre for gasoline and €1.167 for diesel, with the ISP petroleum tax, CO2 emissions surcharge, and VAT accounting for the remainder.
In Italy, average self-service pump prices remain stable along the national road network at €1.985 per litre for gasoline and €2.076 for diesel. On the motorway network, self-service prices are higher, at €2.056 for gasoline and €2.151 for diesel.
