A Glasgow jury has convicted former world snooker champion Graeme Dott of sexually abusing two primary school-aged children, after the High Court trial that opened on 18 August.
The panel found Dott guilty of two counts of lewd, indecent and libidinous conduct on Monday morning. Evidence showed he exposed himself, touched and kissed a girl between 1993 and 1996, and subjected a boy to similar abuse between 2006 and 2010. The woman involved provided a fresh statement to police in 2025, reviving a case first examined by officers in 2001 when no charges followed. Dott, who won the 2006 World Snooker Championship at The Crucible, had denied both charges.
He is due to be sentenced at a separate hearing in Edinburgh on 29 September.
