Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to sanction the departure of England defender Djed Spence to Inter Milan for a fee of around €30 million (£25.6m) plus bonuses, with the right-back expected to sign a four-year contract at the San Siro.

Inter have identified Spence as the long-term successor to Denzel Dumfries, who joined Real Madrid this summer, and believe a total package of £30m could secure the deal. Tottenham initially valued the player at £35m but have relaxed their demands. Spence, who started four matches for England at the World Cup, faces limited opportunities at Spurs amid competition from Destiny Udogie, Andy Robertson, and Pedro Porro.

The move follows a heavy-spending summer for Tottenham, who have invested nearly £240m in new signings, including a club-record deal for Sandro Tonali. Manager Roberto De Zerbi has indicated the club are "not finished yet" in the market.
