Inter Milan confirmed the signing of John Stones on a free transfer on Thursday, finalising a two-year contract running through June 2028 after the England defender had verbally agreed terms earlier this week.
The Italian club, who won their 21st Serie A title in the 2025/26 season, moved to secure Stones after his contract with Manchester City expired at the end of June, allowing the transfer to proceed without a fee. Stones departs the English champions with 19 goals across 295 appearances since 2016 and a trophy haul that included six Premier League titles and a Champions League among as many as 20 honours over his decade at the club.
The centre-back arrives in Milan having contributed to England's third-place finish at the 2026 World Cup earlier this month.
