Denmark's Red-Green Alliance is demanding a ban on Palantir Technologies software across the national police, the PET intelligence service, and all public institutions in Denmark and the wider Danish realm, including Greenland. The party plans to seek funding during upcoming budget negotiations to replace the U.S. data analytics platform with Danish or European alternatives.
Political spokesperson Pelle Dragsted expressed concern that Palantir could give the United States access to sensitive Danish and Greenlandic information. He noted that co-founder Peter Thiel is a prominent supporter of Donald Trump, raising questions about data sovereignty.
The push comes as Germany, France, Spain, and Britain have also explored alternatives to Palantir's technology for government use.
