Chelsea are pursuing loan destinations for Mykhailo Mudryk as the winger seeks to rebuild his fitness following a 20-month absence from competitive football. The club will not consider a permanent sale before the 1 September transfer deadline.
Mudryk, 25, returned to action in pre-season friendlies against Juventus, AC Milan and Johor Darul Ta'zim during Chelsea's tour of Asia after his four-year suspension for a meldonium adverse finding was resolved through an agreement with the Football Association. He has not played a competitive match since November 2024.
While BlueCo sister club Strasbourg has been proposed as a destination, Mudryk would prefer to remain in the Premier League, where suitors include Coventry City. Leading Italian clubs have also emerged as potential suitors. Mudryk remains under contract until 2031 following his £61 million move from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2023.
