Jessica Bang, an 18-year-old Australian professional golfer, has died following a brain hemorrhage after collapsing during tournament preparations in Thailand.
Bang collapsed on August 1 and was rushed to a hospital in Bangkok, where she underwent emergency brain surgery. She died on Thursday after spending nearly two weeks in intensive care.
The WPGA Tour of Australasia described Bang as an "outstanding young talent." She had joined the tour in late 2025 and won her first professional event in February, a qualifier in New South Wales that came in only her fifth career start.
