Hannah Rapp, a 26-year-old American featherweight boxer who challenged for the World Boxing Council world title last month, was killed in a road incident on Saturday 18 July 2026 while cycling in Brazos County, Texas.
Charles Medina, 31, was arrested and charged with manslaughter after the vehicle he was driving struck Rapp, who had moved to the area from Indiana in 2024. The collision occurred in the 23000 block of FM 159 near Navasota. Medina was held in connection with her death, according to investigators.
Rapp competed against Tiara Brown for the WBC featherweight championship on 13 June 2026 in Florida, losing by unanimous decision. WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman expressed the organization's condolences following her death.
