Arsenal have signed midfielder Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle for £75 million and brought in winger Christos Tzolis to replace Leandro Trossard, as the club moved quickly to reshape its attack following a summer of missed targets.
The Gunners had missed out on Vinicius Junior, who agreed a new six-year deal with Real Madrid, and were outbid by Chelsea for Morgan Rogers, with Arsenal unwilling to exceed £80 million for the Aston Villa forward. Tzolis, who arrived from Genk for around £34 million, recorded 22 goals and 29 assists for Club Brugge last season and has already contributed in pre-season.
Elsewhere, Kenan Yildiz signed a new contract with Juventus until 2030 after a breakout campaign, while Arsenal also secured Illan Meslier from Leeds as backup goalkeeper and saw Christian Norgaard depart for Everton.
