A 16-year-old boy has died after being stabbed multiple times on a street in Roskilde, Denmark, on Friday evening, police confirmed Saturday morning. The victim, a new student at Himmelev Gymnasium, was flown to Rigshospitalet following the attack but his injuries proved fatal.
The stabbing occurred around Louisevej near Folkeparken, where an introductory party for new high school students was taking place Friday evening. Police received the first report at 5:33 p.m. and arrested another 16-year-old boy, who has been charged with murder in connection with the incident.
Midt- og Vestsjællands Police stated that the victim's life could not be saved despite emergency treatment. The circumstances surrounding the attack remain under investigation.
