Alexandra Walker and Harrison Simpson have been found guilty of murdering two-year-old Isabelle Welsh at Teesside Crown Court. The jury reached verdicts after roughly six and a half hours of deliberation, convicting Walker by an 11-to-one majority on the murder charge while Simpson was convicted unanimously.
Isabelle died on 14 September 2025, a day after collapsing at her home in Thornaby, Teesside. The court heard she had endured a fractured skull, catastrophic brain injury, 21 broken bones, and sexual abuse. Simpson was also convicted of the sexual assault of a child, a charge on which Walker was acquitted. Both were found guilty of child cruelty.
