A 17-year-old girl has died after suffering a medical episode at the Kendal Calling music festival in northern England.
Emergency services were called to the site at Lowther Deer Park shortly before 02:15 BST on Sunday. Paramedics administered CPR but the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene. Cumbria Police are investigating the circumstances and have appealed for witnesses who were in the area of the Calling Out tent and the Big Wheel to come forward. Officers are particularly keen to speak with a group of women who alerted first responders.
More than 40,000 people are attending the four-day event, which features headliners including Wolf Alice, Primal Scream, Biffy Clyro, Scissor Sisters and Groove Armada.
