A man in his late 30s died after being found unresponsive in a tent at the Love Is A Stranger music festival in east Cork, Ireland, on the morning of July 19, 2026. Emergency responders performed CPR but he was pronounced dead at the scene at Ballyvolane House near Castlelyons.
Organizers cancelled the festival's closing concert and the remainder of the event following the death. The man was reported to be a DJ well known on the Cork music scene.
The Love Is A Stranger festival is held annually at Ballyvolane House, a country estate that hosts cultural events. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
