Taiwan’s export orders climbed 59.4% year-on-year to a record US$95.26 billion in June 2026, marking the 17th consecutive month of growth as demand for technology products continued to surge.
Information and communication technology products led the gains with an 81.9% increase to US$34.15 billion, while electronic products rose 79.9% to US$40.50 billion. Orders from the United States jumped 83.6% to US$38.66 billion. Optical products were a rare weak spot, declining 3.3%.
For the first half of 2026, cumulative orders reached US$504.1 billion, a record for the period. The Ministry of Economic Affairs forecast July orders between US$93.5 billion and US$95.5 billion, representing annual growth of 54.5% to 57.8%.
