Daniel Siad, a Swedish man in his 70s suspected of recruiting young women for the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, was found dead Monday evening at his home in the Hauts-de-Seine department on the outskirts of Paris. He had lived with a 28-year-old woman who discovered his body. Siad appears nearly 2,000 times in the Epstein files. His contact with Epstein dated back to the late 2000s, and he received payment for recruiting women across multiple countries on the financier's behalf. Five women had filed complaints accusing Siad of recruitment, allegations that had placed him under scrutiny before his death.
