French singer Patrick Bruel is facing a new rape complaint transmitted to investigating judges on July 10, the latest allegation in a growing series of sexual assault cases against the prominent entertainer.
The complaint, filed on June 24 with the Nanterre prosecutor's office, involves a woman using the pseudonym Pauline who accuses Bruel of raping her in the Paris region in the 2000s when she was a 16-year-old model. The alleged acts fall outside the statute of limitations.
Bruel, formally placed under investigation since June 10 in four separate cases spanning incidents from 2008 to 2019, denies all allegations. At least five complaints for rape, attempted rape, and sexual assault have been filed against him for alleged offenses between 1992 and 2014.
