British MP Rupert Lowe has earned nearly £56,000 from posting on X in 2026, putting his social media income on course to rival his parliamentary salary of £98,599, according to financial disclosures.
Lowe's hourly rate reached £1,476 since June through the platform's creator revenue programme, with one payment of £11,724.97 received for five hours of work on 10 June. His total income from X since the 2024 general election has surpassed £105,000, with more than half earned in the first eight months of 2026.
The Great Yarmouth MP, who founded Restore Britain after leaving Reform UK in March 2025, said he donates his net parliamentary salary to local charities. Elon Musk has publicly backed Restore Britain on X, where Lowe has the fifth-highest follower count among British MPs.
