Reform UK deputy leader Richard Tice is under investigation by the parliamentary commissioner for standards over a possible failure to declare an interest during a House of Commons debate. The inquiry, opened on 28 July by commissioner Daniel Greenberg, relates to Rule 6 of the parliamentary code of conduct.
The Boston and Skegness MP did not disclose during a 22 June speech on UK democracy and Israeli influence that he had taken a trip to Israel the previous September funded by a pro-Israel lobbying group. Tice claimed he was being investigated for standing against antisemitism. The watchdog separately declined to investigate a complaint over an undeclared loan Tice received in December 2024.
The Metropolitan Police are also investigating payments to Reform UK via a company controlled by Tice. The party's leader, Nigel Farage, was previously under investigation over a £5 million gift from a crypto billionaire before his resignation as an MP.
