Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning to return to live in Britain later this month, ending a six-year stay in the United States. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will settle in a private, non-royal residence outside London, while retaining their homes in Montecito, California, and Portugal.

Their two children, Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, are enrolled to begin at a British school in September. King Charles III was informed of the move on Sunday and is said to welcome the chance to see more of his family in a personal capacity, though there will be no change to their status as non-working royals.

The couple stepped back from official duties and relocated to California in 2020. Last month, they visited the king and Queen Camilla for the first time in four years.
