Meghan Markle appeared as a guest judge on the 18th season of MasterChef Australia on Sunday, during an episode in which Prince Harry made a surprise video call while judging was underway. Markle, who asked the panel to call her 'Meghan' rather than 'duchess', described her husband as "a charmer" following the interruption.
The episode was filmed in Melbourne in April 2026 during the couple's week-long Australian tour, which included meetings with mental health charities, Invictus veterans, and emergency service personnel linked to the Bondi Beach terror attack. Markle was not paid for the appearance.
During the show, she shared family dining preferences, noting that Harry favours meat, potatoes and cream sauce while she prefers grilled fish. Earlier in July, the couple held a private meeting with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House in the UK.
