Prince Harry arrives in London alone after court defeat, family absent amid security dispute

· Society GBR

Prince Harry is in London for an Invictus Games event following the High Court's dismissal of his privacy claims against Associated Newspapers Limited, a ruling he and Baroness Doreen Lawrence condemned as a 'complete and obvious whitewash'.

The Duke of Sussex arrived in the UK on Monday without his wife Meghan and their children, a decision sources linked to unresolved questions over personal security arrangements. Harry, who lost a 2025 case against the British government over police protection, was also unable to stay at Buckingham Palace after reportedly accepting an accommodation offer too late. His family may join him later, and he hopes to meet with King Charles III during the visit.

Wednesday's Invictus Games function will exclude external press representatives from the venue.
