The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate documented 108 attacks by Israeli forces and settlers against Palestinian media workers across the occupied West Bank last month, according to a report released by the union's Freedoms Committee.

The violations ranged widely, with the committee recording 58 instances of brief detention and reporting restrictions, alongside arrests, beatings, interrogations and obstruction of journalistic work. Israeli forces fired stun grenades or tear gas at journalists in 12 cases, while settlers carried out 11 assaults on reporters and camera crews, including physical violence and threats. The committee also logged raids on media offices, equipment confiscations, deleted footage, and the expulsion of journalists from the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque on two occasions.

The toll on the press since October 2023 continues to mount, with more than 270 journalists killed in Gaza, including 12 from Al Jazeera.
