Brazilian singer-songwriter Milton Nascimento has been discharged from hospital after five days of treatment for pneumonia, his son Augusto Nascimento confirmed in a social media post on Wednesday.
The 83-year-old was admitted on 16 January after doctors identified pneumonia as a complication of his existing conditions. Nascimento retired from the stage in 2022 with his "A Última Sessão de Música" farewell tour, and was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia last October. He has lived with Parkinson's disease since 2023.
No further details on his ongoing home care were provided.
