An Israeli drone strike killed a couple and their four children — aged 12, 11, nine and five — in Gaza City early on Tuesday, after strikes across the enclave killed at least 14 Palestinians on Monday. The Israeli military acknowledged the attack, saying it targeted a Hamas operative.
The UN Human Rights Office condemned Israeli violence in Gaza, noting it had recorded at least 57 deaths from Israeli attacks between 13 and 20 July. The strike follows Saturday's killing of five members of the Nasman family in a Gaza City house, which came after the death of senior Hamas commander Adham Ibrahim Shaaban Nasman.
At least 1,168 Palestinians have been killed since a ceasefire took effect in October 2025, according to the Israeli military's stated target of a Hamas militant in the latest raid.
