The General Public Prosecutor's Office in Munich has indicted a 15-year-old on terrorism charges, accusing him of preparing a serious act of violence against the state and of planning an attack targeting a synagogue in Bavaria.
Prosecutors say the teenager from the Augsburg district stockpiled a large quantity of pyrotechnic devices and triggered an explosion in late October 2025. The blast, caused by a tennis ball-sized spherical bomb, blew off two of his fingers and lightly injured a friend. The charges include illegal handling of explosive materials, causing an explosion, and dangerous bodily harm.
The indictment was filed at the juvenile court in Augsburg. The teenager faces charges of preparing a serious state-endangering act of violence alongside the explosives offences.
