Police in western Germany have launched a manhunt for two suspects after gunfire was directed at a 62-year-old man's car in the town of Marl, with prosecutors treating the incident as attempted murder.
The shooting occurred on Tuesday evening in Marl, located in the northern Ruhr area. The victim was not injured and contacted emergency services himself. Authorities have released photographs of the two fugitives and warned that both may be armed.
Investigators have also identified a 20-year-old man suspected of involvement in preparing the attack. The Essen public prosecutor's office is leading the investigation.
