French podcaster Guillaume Pley filed multiple defamation complaints on Wednesday against three media outlets and a content creator, escalating his legal response to investigations into his past exchanges with minors and workplace conduct. The lawsuits target Le Monde, Les Inrockuptibles, and YouTuber TPZ, accusing them of presenting unverified allegations as established fact, his lawyer Jade Dousselin said.
The legal action follows intense scrutiny after Le Monde published 2011 messages in which Pley proposed a threesome to a 14-year-old girl, and Les Inrockuptibles detailed allegations of a toxic, sexist workplace at his media company Legend. Pley, 41, acknowledged some exchanges were inappropriate but maintains the accusations against him are "serious and false."
Legend, launched in 2023, employs 40 people and claims 3.7 million YouTube subscribers. The company reported 3.8 million euros in profit in 2025 and was recently valued above 70 million euros.
