French celebrity chef Jean Imbert was taken into police custody Monday morning in Paris, facing domestic violence allegations from three former partners. The 45-year-old arrived at his hearing with numerous documents, his lawyers said.
The Paris prosecutor's office opened an investigation into intimate partner violence, handled by the 16th arrondissement police station. The complaints span relationships from 2012 to 2014. Former actress Lila Salet filed a complaint in summer 2025 alleging violence and confinement, while former Miss France Alexandra Rosenfeld said Imbert broke her nose in October 2013 during a television shoot.
Imbert, who won Top Chef France in 2012, stepped back from his restaurants after the first complaint became public. The case gained prominence following an investigative report by Elle magazine in April 2025 featuring testimonies from four former partners.
