Prosecutors in Arnsberg, Germany, have indicted four males on charges including rape, dangerous assault, and false imprisonment stemming from the alleged prolonged abuse of a 33-year-old woman in the town of Soest.
The principal suspect is a 29-year-old man who lived in the house where the crimes allegedly occurred. Two other defendants are teenagers aged 16 and 17. Two adults remain in pretrial detention. The case came to light after a neighbour spotted the victim semi-naked and bound on the terrace of the house on the evening of 3 November; she was unconscious at the time and required months of hospital treatment.
The trial is scheduled to open on 12 October at the Arnsberg regional court, with twelve hearing days planned.
