Félix Mory shot a seven-under-par opening round to take the outright lead at the Danish Golf Championship on Thursday, with Lucas Bjerregaard sitting one stroke back in a tie for second at the tournament's debut staging at Great Northern in Kerteminde.
Four of the seven leading favourites are Danish, including Rasmus Højgaard, who won the event in 2023 and finished runner-up in 2025, alongside Rasmus Neergaard, Thorbjørn Olesen and Jacob Skov Olesen. Skov Olesen, the 2024 Amateur Championship winner who tied for fifth that year as a debutant, teed off alongside two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson.
Finland's Oliver Lindell opened with a five-under 67 to share fourth place, two strokes off the pace after a round that included six birdies, one eagle and a triple bogey when his approach found water on the fifth hole.
