Danish prime minister visits Kyiv on Ukraine's flag day alongside Nordic and Baltic leaders

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen arrived in Kyiv on Sunday to mark Ukraine's national flag day, joining a delegation of Nordic and Baltic heads of government for a show of solidarity with the war-torn country.

Frederiksen used the visit to warn that Russia is pursuing a strategy of attrition against Ukraine, deliberately targeting civilians and energy infrastructure to inflict hardship during winter months. "That war of attrition they must not win," she told TV 2, adding that the only way to prevail is to continue backing Ukraine and supplying it with whatever it needs.

The joint visit by Scandinavian and Baltic leaders underscores continued Northern European support for Kyiv as the conflict grinds on.
