Martin Hall, a prolific Danish avant-garde artist whose career spanned more than four decades of music and literature, has died at the age of 63. He suffered a cardiac arrest on July 21 at his home in Frederiksberg, near Copenhagen.
His record label, Target Group, confirmed the death the following day to the Ritzau news agency. Hall debuted in 1981 and went on to release more than 100 albums alongside a body of published books, establishing himself as one of Denmark's most restless creative figures.
In 2003, he founded his own label, Panoptikon, and was added to Kraks Blå Bog, the Danish biographical registry marking individuals of notable standing in public life.
