A 13-year-old Czech boy was seriously injured on Wednesday after he overshot a jump and crashed his bike into a tree at the Leogang bike park in Austria's Pinzgau region, police said. The boy had veered off the course following the jump before striking the tree, authorities told Czech media. He was airlifted to the university hospital in Salzburg.

Park director Kornel Grundner said no irregularities were found on the trail and urged riders to adjust their speed to match their abilities.

The incident is the latest in a string of serious accidents at the Salzburg-area facility. An 18-year-old German national died at the park in May 2026, and in June 2025 a 33-year-old Latvian and a 54-year-old Swiss rider were killed in separate incidents. The operator overhauled the park's safety concept following the 2025 fatalities.
