Caravan swerve triggers multi-vehicle crash on E18 near Oslo

A car towing a caravan swerved out of control during a lane change on the E18 motorway in Sandvika, Bærum, on Sunday afternoon, striking another vehicle and the central barrier in a crash that brought traffic to a standstill near the Norwegian capital.

Emergency services reached the scene at 14:54 local time, finding two people requiring medical assessment. Police said the incident occurred during a lane change. All northbound lanes toward Oslo were initially blocked, though a recovery vehicle arrived around 15:15 to begin clearing the roadway.

Traffic was slowly moving past the crash site in one lane by 15:16, with operations leader Christer Martinsen confirming the two injured were being examined by health personnel. The road fully reopened at 15:34.
