Four men in their 20s were critically injured on Friday afternoon when a car careened off the road and slammed into a house in Råde, Østfold county, landing upside down inside the building.
One victim was flown by air ambulance to Ullevål hospital in Oslo and the other three were transported to Kalnes hospital, while no one inside the home was hurt. The residence was rendered uninhabitable by the crash.
Police suspect excessive speed, citing the extent of property damage, and a witness told authorities the vehicle was travelling at extreme speed before veering through a garden and into the house. County Road 118 was closed in both directions as emergency crews worked the scene.
