Arsenal concluded their preseason with a 1-1 draw against Como at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday before winning a pre-arranged penalty shootout 4-3.
Myles Lewis-Skelly opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, but Martin Baturina equalised for the Italian side before halftime. The match marked the debut of Bruno Guimaraes, who arrived from Newcastle United for £75 million, entering as a substitute at the interval. In the shootout, David Raya made two saves and Christos Tzolis converted the decisive penalty to secure the victory.
Arsenal now turn their attention to their first competitive fixture of the season, the Community Shield against Manchester City on Sunday.
