Theo Burrell, a specialist on the BBC's Antiques Roadshow, has died at age 39. Burrell passed away peacefully on Wednesday, surrounded by family, following a four-year battle with brain cancer.
She was first diagnosed with glioblastoma in June 2022, an aggressive form of brain tumour. Despite treatment, the tumour began growing again in October 2024. Burrell married her partner Alex on 28 March, just months before her death.
An Edinburgh-based auctioneer at Lyon & Turnbull, Burrell joined the BBC programme in 2018, where she became a familiar face to viewers as an antiques expert.
