Veteran British radio broadcaster Paul Gambaccini has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, the 77-year-old presenter revealed following a diagnosis made in early 2025.
Despite the condition, Gambaccini continues to present The Paul Gambaccini Collection on BBC Radio 2 and programmes on Greatest Hits Radio. BBC Radio 2 has pledged ongoing support for the long-serving DJ. The Alzheimer's Society has also been supporting Gambaccini and his husband Christopher Sherwood through the process.
Gambaccini has been a fixture of British broadcasting for decades and has served as a patron of the Terrence Higgins Trust, an HIV and sexual health charity, for more than 30 years.
