ANO leads Czech election poll at 34 percent, governing Motorists fall below threshold

The ANO movement would secure a commanding victory with 34 percent of the vote if Czech parliamentary elections were held in July, according to a survey of 1,022 respondents.

Mayors and Independents (STAN) placed second at 15 percent, gaining 2.5 percentage points, while the Civic Democratic Party (ODS) took third with 12 percent, down one point. The Czech Pirate Party and Freedom and Direct Democracy (SPD) would also cross the five-percent threshold, earning eight and 7.5 percent respectively.

The governing Motorists for Themselves party fell short of parliamentary entry at 4.5 percent, losing half a point. KDU-ČSL and Our Czech Republic each drew 3.5 percent, while TOP 09 and the Communist Party also remained below the threshold. The poll indicated a 59 percent turnout among eligible voters, with a margin of error of 1.5 percentage points for larger parties and three points for smaller ones.
