PAMPLONA, Spain — Ten people were taken to hospital following the final bull run of this year's San Fermín festival, including two runners who sustained serious horn injuries, authorities said on Monday.
A 54-year-old man from Pamplona suffered head trauma and remains in critical condition, while an 18-year-old local was gored in the thigh and a 46-year-old man received a horn wound to the chest with a reserved prognosis, hospital officials said. Among those hospitalised was an 86-year-old British man who sustained injuries to his hand, eyebrow and elbow.
The run, featuring bulls from the Miura ranch, lasted just over two and a half minutes. All ten injured were transferred to the University Hospital of Navarra for treatment.
