Ten people were injured when a camping gas stove exploded at the Taubertal Festival in Franconia, Germany, after gas reportedly leaked due to improper handling by a 26-year-old user on the campsite, police said.
Eight of the victims, aged between 21 and 26, were taken to hospital. None of the injured were in life-threatening condition.
The open-air music festival, founded in 1996, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this weekend in a nature reserve overlooking the historic old town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Around 40 acts are scheduled to perform — including Sido, Sportfreunde Stiller, and Feine Sahne Fischfilet — before an expected crowd of up to 15,000 guests.
