Police in Middle Franconia logged around 200 weather-related interventions. Fallen trees and wind damage forced the cancellation of in-person classes at a primary school in Röthenbach an der Pegnitz on Wednesday.
Nuremberg Airport suspended operations for about 80 minutes, diverting three flights and delaying four others. The German Weather Service had issued level-three severe weather warnings for Franconia and the Upper Palatinate ahead of the storms, which passed through Regensburg without major damage.
